Information for New Students
School Uniform Policy
A uniform dress code fosters pride in appearance, instils recognition of the pupils as an integral part of the community. It assists in developing pride in representing Oakgrove Integrated College. Issue of equality, health and safety, and expense are also factors that contribute to the establishment of our Dress Code.
To promote equality amongst all students.
To further develop a sense of pride in, and identification with our school.
To provide durable clothing that is cost effective and practical for our school environment.
To maintain and enhance the positive image of the school in the community.
The Dress Code applies during school hours, while travelling to and from school and when students are on school organised activities.
Parents seeking exemptions to the Dress Code due to religious beliefs, ethnic or cultural background, student disability, health condition or economic hardship must apply in writing to the Principal.
It is the responsibility of pupils to ensure that all uniform items are clearly labelled.

Your son/daughter will require a PE kit. The PE kit, including top, shorts and socks, is essential for all pupils and costs £35. A Rain Jacket is also available and costs £30. The Rain Jacket is not an essential part of PE kit but is recommended as it can be worn to and from school as well as used in PE. The PE kit can be bought along with the Rain Jacket at a reduced price of £60.
The PE kit will be sold during the week of the Oakgrove College Summer School, Monday 6th – Friday 10th July and also from Monday 10th August onwards, 10.00 am until 2.00 pm.
Please select kit that is at least one size too big so that it will last for a few years. There will only be a small number of Rain Jackets available to try on for size and if required, we will order these for delivery in September.
School hoodies are available from the school and should only be worn for PE and school representive activities.
